	This is the routing jig ready to rout the next blank. On the lathe is half of the valve cylinder pattern.
	In the meantime, Tony is building a carrying cradle for the pattern sections. The one nearest the camera is complete.
	The second section of the motion cylinder pattern in its handling trolley. When turned through 180 degrees you can see how the taper female joint will mate with the taper male joint on the right hand pattern.
	More wood required! The valve cylinder pattern is on the floor behind the timber, this still needs turning to profile on the lathe.
	Ripping the timber to size
	A set of core box sections ready for gluing up.
	This upside down picture shows how the core box sections will go together. The outer faces need to be cleaned up and all of the sections will be fitted in a box. The inner faces will need sanding and filling.

	With all of the sections for the main cylinder complete, Tony now needs to build a box to contain all of the sections. Here Tony has started to plan the size of the box including the end caps.
	Tony is now starting to build the core box for the main cylinder. This core will need to be made in an upper and lower half - the upper half will need a couple of "prints" to locate the transfer port cores. The transfer ports are the passages at the outer ends of the cylinder to let live steam into the cylinder and take away the exhaust steam once the power stroke of the piston is complete. The "U" sections are just being used here to hold the box in position while the glue dries.
